Earlier this week Shane’s episode of ‘Fair Game with Kristine Leahy’ finally aired – it was originally filmed in January – and it was certainly worth the wait! Shane talked about how he wasn’t in a popular clique in high school, what he would have pursued as a career if he had stayed in Baton Rouge and what role he told Aaron Paul to go and get. I have added screencaptures to the gallery and you can watch a clip uploaded by the show below.
Last night Shane was a guest on Busy Philipps talk show, ‘Busy Tonight’ – and for those of you who don’t know, Shane and Busy worked together previously on ER so this was a mini reunion for sure! The interview was great – so fun and such great moments. I have added captures to the gallery and you can check out the videos below. Yesterday Shane was a guest on E! Such a fun interview with some very funny moments from Shane, so make sure to watch below as well as checking out the 6 HQ pictures added to the gallery. On Wednesday 6th February, Shane was a guest on Last Call With Carson Daly to discuss Gotham as part of promotion for his arc on the show as Eduardo Dorrance/Bane. Although the show is a pre-tape format and this was filmed mid-December before Shane’s first episode had aired, it was still great listening to Shane talking about what had attracted him to the role as well as a little about A Walk to Remember (which had it’s 17th Anniversary this year!) I have added captures to the gallery and you can watch it before if you haven’t already saw.
On January 31st Shane took part in a Build Series interview to promote his role on Gotham and it is hands down one of my favourite interviews of Shane’s to date! He chatted about being cast as Eduardo, the costume and finding his Bane voice. As well as that he also discussed past roles in films such as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and took a few audience questions. I have added photos of Shane at the interview as well as arriving and after when he signed autographs and posed for photos with fans. Make sure you also check out the video of the interview below if you haven’t already.
On Thursday 31st January Shane was a guest on The TODAY Show to promote his upcoming role on Gotham. While he was there he teased a little of what is to come for Eduardo Dorrance/Bane, the new Twilight Creeps album and also spoke briefly about the 17th Anniversary of A Walk to Remember. I have added stills of Shane to the gallery as well as some candids of him arriving at the studio and you can also check out the interview below. I will have captures coming for this and some of the other interviews Shane did in the coming week.
Last week Shane sat down with The Wrap to promote Gotham where talked about the Bane suit, finding the voice and Tom Hardy’s Bane. You can check out snippets from the article below and the video too – such a fun watch and I am so excited for next week to finally get to see Eduardo on our screens! Screencaptures of the interview have also been added to the gallery.
Shane West makes his debut as Eduardo Dorrance on next week’s episode of “Gotham.” The character — who will turn into Batman’s nemesis Bane in due time — returns to the city after years away to help Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) restore order to the city and reclaim No Man’s Land.
But before viewers of the Dark Knight prequel series even see West step on screen for the show’s fifth and final season, we know they’ve already gotten a look at his Bane suit, thanks to some official — and unofficial — photos and footage.
And while not everyone is a fan of the Fox drama’s chosen look for the character, West tells TheWrap he is.
“I loved the costume,” West told TheWrap in the interview above. “For me, we had a whole different thing, because I was out there for two-and-a-half months doing the build and it took a long time to put that costume together. But the point of the costume always, which is apparently the point of what they do for all of their heroes and villains on the show — which I wasn’t aware of — they build here,” he said, framing his upper body with his hands. – Read the full article here.
